Budderball Farms maintains the right to retain any animal at any time for any reason prior to that animal being paid for in-full. If we decide to retain an animal that has not been paid for in-full, all monies towards that animal will be refunded to the purchaser.
Deposits are not required to be placed on our reservation list. However, those who wish to put a deposit down to reserve an animal from a particular breeding will be given priority should a reservation without a deposit also be placed on the same breeding. Reservations are taken on a first come, first serve basis. Once a kid is born we will notify those on the reservation list in the order that their reservations were received (first those who placed deposits and then those who did not). Purchasers without a prior deposit will have 7 days to place a 50% deposit for us to hold the kid until weaning or agreed upon pickup date. All animals should be paid for in-full at the time of pickup.
Bottle-raised kids may leave at 4 weeks old. Dam-raised kids are expected to be picked up by 8-10 weeks of age for nigerians and 14 weeks for lamanchas. Unless otherwise agreed upon, any purchaser failing to pickup their animal by the agreed upon date will be charged a boarding fee of $5 per day, per goat that is due before the animal leaves Budderball Farms. If the animal is not picked up within 60 days of the agreed upon pickup date without prior approval, the animal and all monies received for said animal are forfeited and Budderball Farms retains the ownership of that animal.
We want to make things as easy as possible for our customers and understand that things happen. As long as you keep us in the loop we will do our very best to accommodate your situation if necessary.
Budderball Farms promises that our animals are healthy to the best of our knowledge at the time they leave our care. Our herd is tested annually for CAE and Johnes. Our results can be found here. We have never had an abscess within our herd and due to the unreliability of CL tests, we choose not to waste money on this annually. Purchasers may request for any disease testing or veterinarian exam at their own expense.
Due to factors that we have no control of, once an animal leaves our care, we cannot guarantee its health. Budderball Farms is not responsible for any veterinarian bills once the animals leave our property. If an animal is later found to have a genetic defect or is a non-breeder, we will replace the animal with one of equal value per our discretion after confirmation from a veterinarian is received. All goats offered by Budderball Farms will be free of disqualifying defects listed in the ADGA guidebook at the time of the sale.
